Rick Wakeman 2025 UK tour

Rick Wakeman

Prog rock keyboard wizard Rick Wakeman has announced a major October 2025 UK tour called The Return of The Caped Crusader Part 2.

Back in February 2023, Rick Wakeman performed ‘The Six Wives of Henry VIII’ and ‘The Myths and Legends of King Arthur and The Knights of The Round Table’ on the first night of a special two-date run at London Palladium.

The success of the sold-out Palladium shows prompted Wakeman to announce a February 2024 tour called The Return of The Caped Crusader, which consisted of the setlist from the second Palladium show – YES classics and his epic 1974 solo album ‘Journey to the Centre of the Earth’ in its entirety.

This coming autumn, Wakeman will embark on a fresh headline tour entitled The Return of The Caped Crusader Part 2 that will see him return to the setlist of the first London Palladium concert – ‘The Six Wives of Henry VIII’ and ‘The Myths and Legends of King Arthur and The Knights of The Round Table.’

Rick Wakeman’s tour will start in Aylesbury on Sunday 12th October 2025 and then visit York, Liverpool, Glasgow, Gateshead, Manchester, Birmingham, Cambridge, Northampton, Eastbourne, Bournemouth, Torquay and London before concluding in Bristol on Wednesday 29th October 2025.

Rick will be flanked by The English Rock Ensemble with Mollie Marriott once again on lead vocals alongside Dave Colquhoun (guitars and backing vocals), Adam Falkner (drums), Lee Pomeroy (bass and backing vocals) and Adam Wakeman (keyboard, guitars and backing vocals).

Rick comments: “For me, historical events, myths and legends, and great stories, should never have a date stamped on them, as they will be talked about for centuries to come. Henry’s wives and King Arthur are great examples of ‘here forever’.

“Writing music for all these fascinating people was magical and thoroughly enjoyable in every aspect, and so to still be playing both of these suites of music at the age of 76 is also another remarkable milestone in my life.

“With a stunning array of musicianship surrounding me, I only wish I could be in the audience watching and listening, so all those sitting out there will have to do it for me!”
